Chart of the Week: Investment Crowdfunding Exits & Failures (2025 Update)

As the online private markets mature, outcomes are starting to take shape — and Kingscrowd’s latest 2025 exit data update shows just how far the industry has come. Across more than 650 tracked exits and failures, shutdowns and bankruptcies are trending down sharply from 2023 highs, while investor exits through IPOs, M&A, and buybacks have held steady. The improving failure rate suggests that founders are better capitalized and that platforms are curating higher-quality deals. Still, with most Reg CF companies only 5–6 years old, the biggest investor wins may yet be ahead. The big question now: will the next few years bring a wave of true investor wins as Reg CF enters its tenth year?

PITCH REVIEW 💸

By Teddy Lyons \ Deal Report

Brief: MyRadar (ACME AtronOmatic) is one of the most-downloaded weather apps in the world, with over 53 million downloads and 15 million active users. The company is taking things to the next level by launching its own satellites to build a real-time, AI-powered climate intelligence platform.

Teddy’s Take: Every day, millions of people open MyRadar to see if it’s going to rain. But what started as a simple weather app is turning into something much bigger: a full-blown space and AI company redefining how we monitor Earth’s climate.

Let’s start with the base business. MyRadar has over 301,000 paid subscribers and a loyal user base that checks the app constantly. It’s already a household name in weather, competing with the likes of The Weather Channel and AccuWeather. But MyRadar’s secret weapon is that it’s building its own data pipeline instead of just licensing weather feeds from others.

That’s where HORIS comes in: MyRadar’s constellation of in-house–designed satellites. Each compact unit carries three cameras: visible, infrared, and thermal, giving the company its own real-time view of Earth’s atmosphere and surface. Together, they can detect things like wildfires, smoke, storms, and road hazards in near real time. Even better, each satellite runs AI onboard, so it can process data in space and send alerts back to Earth faster than traditional systems.

And here’s the big milestone: both HORIS-1 and HORIS-2 officially launched in June 2025 aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-14 mission. HORIS-1 has successfully checked in and transmitted telemetry, while HORIS-2 is still being commissioned (a normal part of the post-launch process). This marks a major step forward for MyRadar’s space program and brings them closer to 24/7, AI-powered monitoring of the planet’s hazards.

Why does this matter? Because owning the pixels means owning the insight. MyRadar will no longer have to rely on public data feeds from agencies like NOAA. Instead, it will generate its own information directly from orbit. That means faster wildfire alerts, sharper short-term forecasts, and real-time updates that keep users ahead of changing conditions

And this isn’t just vision without numbers. The company recorded $10.3 million in 2024 revenue and $9 million in 2023, supported by a mix of subscription, advertising, and data sales. MyRadar’s patented AI nowcasting model already improves short-term rain prediction by learning how storms form, grow, and decay. Combine that system with new satellite imagery, and MyRadar becomes more accurate and more valuable than competitors still relying on legacy government models.

If HORIS delivers as planned, MyRadar won’t just predict the weather. It will help see it unfold in real time. For investors looking for a space technology play backed by a proven consumer brand with millions of active users, this one is worth a very close look.

An intriguing B2B producer of hemp hearts, Victory Hemp Foods is a rare food company with a strong patent portfolio + VC-backing. However, the company is still well under $1M in revenue and growing just 62% YoY. What will be the growth catalyst for Victory Hemp Foods in 2026?

Backed by Mark Cuban, Overplay turns any video into an interactive game. While the company has strong user metrics (300k downloads, 2 million games played), the company is still pre-revenue. Will that change with the funds from this round?
